Andromeda
What do you think of Andromeda as a middle name? I have recently been really liking it.
Is Andromeda as a middle name too much? One of the CAF's had it listed as a "goth name" does the name give you goth vibes, or any other impressions?

It's not too much, not even as a first name. It has a strong subculture vibe, though. Not necessarily goth. I can see any modern-age hipster or sci-fi geek using it. While unusual, it it still follows some trends in modern naming (myth / fantasy / ancient cultures theme) So I would not be surprised to meet a little Andromeda.
I like the sound and love the possible nickname Meda.

I think it's too much, period. Kinda got goth vibes, but mainly it's just a big, loud mouthful of "look at me!" Not good associations either: chained ladies or strains.
It’s our #1 choice if we ever have another girl, so yes, I absolutely love it! I agree with using a shorter name as a fn though. It takes some of the heaviness out of it and brings out the fun.
I think Andromeda works perfectly well as a middle. I would gladly use it as a first. It doesn’t really give me a goth vibe, more unconventional and unusual.
I love it. It's a little too long for me as a first name but it would be great as a middle name.
It gives me some goth, classical, tragic vibes. It also has a "dark and deep" image because of the ocean imagery and the Andromeda galaxy (maybe a little sci fi potential as well depending on the combo).
This might sound weird but I also think it's a sexually attractive name (as in it's something I'd come up with if you asked me to name a sexually attractive character) but I don't think it's a "sexy" name in the sense of being unusable on a real baby.

While I definitely could see it as a goth name, I don't think it necessarily has to be. It feels more fairy tale or maybe nature-y to me (probably because of the outer space connections)
I like it. I think it's different while still being familiar to the ear. It's intellectual without being pretentious. It's easy to spell. It's not perfectly my style (I tend to like classic names), but if I met a little Andromeda, I would think her name was cool and that her parents had good, fun, and interesting taste. I have absolutely no negative feelings about this name.

I think it's a fantastic name, and I don't think it's "too much". I don't think of it as a gothic name - I imagine a female steampunk astronomer.
I like it as a middle name, perhaps with a shorter first name. Like Leah Andromeda, or Mia Andromeda.
Not a gothy name. But it wouldn't shock me to see goth parents use it.
I think it'd be a fun middle name to have.
I've been overexposed to Andrea in my time, and that makes me less enthused about Andromeda than I might otherwise feel.
