It seems like a perfect name for a lion cub. I immediately think of lions, probably because of Simba (The Lion King). Also I got the song "timber" (by Kesha) in my head immediately.
It is fine. It does seem a bit unfashionable/past its prime because it's so similar to Kim and Kimberly which are dated. But it has more of a nature feel to it. It might get shortened to Kim by others so if you don't like that I might reconsider. But overall it is fine, not overly exciting and a bit dated but not bad.
