They ‘re both nice, but I like April better. Bethany feels a little dated.

Bethany is bad IMO. It's dated and kind of sounds like a 'mean girl' name.
I want to like April but it also has a kind of trendy cheerleadery feel. I like it in the right context though, it just depends on the combo and siblings.

Nah. I dislike month names, except May, which I don't immediately think of as a month; more like a flowering hedge. And a name starting with Ape is not encouraging. Bethany? A town, with biblical associations - not attractive to me, and Beth isn't my favourite nn for anything. I do like Bethan, though; more energetic.

I like April pretty well. April sounds dated to me, about like Heather, so not really a baby name yet. Bethany is a good full name for Beth - better than Elizabeth IMO - but the sound of it isn't very appealing to me. I've never loved Beth. It's just okay, and so's Bethany.

Both sound dated. I prefer May and Elizabeth.

Hi Billina !!!April* 8/10 fresh, ageless, evergreen. It is simple but dignified. I love this kind of names because they are immediate and bright. A lovely thing: it doesn't need any nickname. I also like Avril.Bethany 3/10 unpleasant sound, sad meaning, place name. Not my style.

I like them both too. April to me has always sounded as soft and breezy as the month itself is supposed to be.
Bethany is also cute, and if you want the nn Beth, it's way nicer than dull Elizabeth.
