Octavia and More
My daughter's class:
Audrey (there are about three total in Miriam's school. School is 100) (Claire and Luke)
Sylvia (Tristan)
Joseph nn JoJo (Rachel and EmilY)
Owen (Spencer)
Marley (g) (Riley, also girl)
Ryan (named after dad)
Asher (Clara, Eliza, Isaac)
Reece (Miles & Tessa)
Ava (Autumn, Hannah, Joseph, Shawn, Ella, Olivia)
Gordon nn Gordie (Cooper and Nolan)
Edwarde nn Teddy (John & Mary)
Lucas (Alexis, Anthony, Daniel, Erica, Miriam, Mark)
Avery (g)
Alizabeth nn Ali (Zayne)
Chiara (Italian pronunciation)
Levi
Matthew (Jacob, Katelyn, Kyle, Sarah)
Agatha nn Aggie (Robert "Bert", Aurora, Bauer, Augusta "Gussie")
Michael (Genevieve)
Miriam
And a few interesting ones from Pre-K
Octavia
Lucia (several Lucias in the school, also a Luciana)
Reen
Mina (Briggs & Schaffer)
Allison & Emma
Mary Francis (Martin) - both named after parents
Lexington nn Lex
Genevieve nn Ginny (Micahel)
Pretty obvious it's Catholic! Also, several families have children that either aren't in school yet, moved to public or are in college.
Some quick information:
My daughter's school is a small Catholic school. Fargo, the city I live in, is full of hipsters. It's also a college city - we have three major colleges in the area plus a few smaller ones. The average ND classroom list would be quite different.

Lexington nn Lex is...terrible. Do they have a sibling Concord nn Connie?
I'm not a huge fan of all these surnames as first names. Mina really lucked out! Great name.
I'm also surprised at how big the families are! I grew up in an area that is heavily Catholic and the largest non-immigrant Catholic family I know has 4 kids.
Edward nn Teddy is great. Edwarde is...why? Why do you need to change the spelling of this not at all trendy name?
I'm surprised there's two Miriams at a Catholic school.

I really like the name Octavia. I like it more now that I'm older and new agey and have ideas about what Octaves are and how they work.
Lexington/Lex is maybe kind of a GP for me.
Chiara's pretty.
Audrey is corny. lol I also think it's ugly.
Agatha's a striking name in theory and I think very ugly in practice.
Asher is I think a nice modern name.
Genevieve is just such a pretty name.
Lucia is a better name than Audrey. Audrey is just corny people thinking of Audrey Hepburn and wrong about phonetic aesthetics. Lucia is LIGHT

Thanks for the background info. That's probably why I enjoy this list much more than other classrooom lists. :-)
