I wanted to also ask why you like the name Riley (regardless of spelling), why you are drawn to it rather than another name that ends with -lee sound or starts with R. It's not unique, but it's not as desperate as, say, Juniper. Rye is a whiskey drink, but Juniper is gin. And everyone will think she's obnoxious, but it's really the parents. Riley is ok by comparison, but expecting every teacher along the way to spell or pronounce oddly spelled names as you'd expect, well, that's your problem, not society's. If you have to keep correcting people, it's never too late to change your child's name.
