"Early America" is way too broad a concept. Just what time period are you referring to?Some of the names above (Alonzo, Nelson, Orlando, Clarinda, Luther, Alvira, and Clarence, for example) were generally common in early 19th century America. On the other hand, Forlonzo and Deranzel (if they aren't mistakes due to trying to read bad handwriting in old records) would be nearly unique inventions.
