Both are too nicknamey and common for me, but between the two I’d pick Ella.

I think the name Ella is more “rock & roll” and Bella more “girly”. (Even though I’m a Bella and definitely not the pink and frilly type, I’m into motorbikes/skydiving/gliding etc).

Ella without question, it’s a thousand times nicer than Bella. Bella is sooo whiny, and everyone I’ve known named Bella has been obnoxious. Ella is nice, if a little plain. I prefer Elle. I wouldn’t use Isabella at all, (it’s just as whiny as Bella, IMO), but maybe IsobelElle” or “Ella”.Isobel Jude
Isabella Claire
Ella Rosalind
Elle Roxana

Ella.
Isabella is alright, but nothing I'd use. I really dislike Bella though (even though my cousin have a daughter named Bella). It's so...cutesy, and I dislike the sound and look of it. I like Belle though.
Ella Leonora
Ella Emmeline
Ella Josepine
Ella Pearl

Ella Josephine is cute! Wouldn't use Ella paired with Leonora, though--too repetitive.

I prefer Bella; it seems to have more substance. But I don't like either of them.

I prefer Eleanor "Ella."

I honestly think they're as bad (and almost as common) as each other. At least Isabella has more of a choice for NNs later on.

Isabella is a form of Elizabeth, an important family name of mine, and Elle would be short for Elizabeth.
