Re: Lydia/Lidia
in reply to a message by A
Hi A !!!I obviously know that it is an established name infact it is an old-favourite of mine because of its refined sound. If I think about a name that I really like I pay attention to the meaning. My favourite names are infact simple-meaning names often related with nature and sky like Stella, Rosa, Luna, Alba, Celeste, Flora ...Lydia / Lidia are far better than a lot of names for sure.. but they are not special.I've just realized that my answer was actually quite ambiguous... maybe I had to clarify that I meant my personal usage of it as given name.Personal Name Lists https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/125456

I get where you’re coming from. I LOVE the name Judith, but I’m a little squeamish on ising it irl, even though I don’t think most people associate it with being Jewish (which I’m not). Most just think of it as an old lady name. It still feels false.
