Ingrid, Ivy, Isla
Which one, and why? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Ivy, without a doubt. I love that name.

I adore all three names, so it was was difficult to choose, but I got to Ivy through elimination - I don't have Scandinavian roots, so it'd be strange to use Ingrid, and Isla's exorbitant popularity is a bit of a drawback for an otherwise splendid names.

Ingrid, it's one of those names that has grown on me recently. Ivy I can tolerate but I don't like it, sounds insubstantial to me. I prefer Iris. Isla I hate but I'm not sure why. I guess the spelling looks posh and pompous to me, I prefer it spelled 'Ayla'.

Ivy looks good from a distance, but in a garden it is the world's most annoying plant.
Isla is at least easy to pronounce, unlike Ayla, but it came from nowhere to being very well used and I don't know if it's likely to last very long. The other problem with these two is that I just don't enjoy names that start with I - or Me, actually, like some versions of Megan. They sound whiney and self-absorbed.So, Ingrid. I like Sigrid a lot, Astrid quite a lot and Ingrid not so much. Here, however, Ingrid is a clear winner.

Ingrid - Isla is too popular, top 10, as is Ivy

Ivy! I don’t LOVE it, but it’s cute, short and sweet.Ingrid is another old lady name, that’s just, a mouthful of food and trying to talk through it.Isla is incomplete... and sounds like the sounds I make when I spit after brushing my teeth.

Hi Billina !!!Ingrid* 8/10 I like it. Enough classic but not too boring. I find it sweet and elegant. I also like the meaning.Ivy 3/10 I much prefer the Italian edera (AY-de-ra) because Ivy reminds me too much 'evil' and 'envy'.Isla I rate it 8/10 if you mean the Spanish EE-sla "island" but I judge it 4/10 if you pronounce it IE-la. I much prefer Lyle and Carlisle (both for boys) rather than the Scottish Isla.

Ivy for sound, feel and imagery. Isla second on same criteria. I respect Ingrid but don’t care for its sound.

Ingrid. Ivy and Isla are too common.

Ivy, which I think is kind of cute and charming. Isla is one of those names that sounds like a jumble of syllables to me, and Ingrid just seems too veddy veddy suave and sophisticated. Which is my way of saying the dirty word "pretentious" lol. Ooooh look I am Ingrid.

Ivy. It's cute. Ingrid is another teeth-grinder of a name, and Isla is just to much of a nuisance to spell and pronounce, and feels too British for an American.
