Well, I think there was some kind of indie-rock or folk singer called Dido back in the 1990s. I don't know how well-known she (if it was a she) was but maybe some people would think of that?
However, add an l to Dido and you can see why it's a very poor choice in the US, and probably any English-speaking country.It also sounds a bit like didy, a cutesy, old-fashioned word for diaper.Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
