Neva, Tonia, Rhett (although Rett makes more sense), and maybe Ryn work. The others sound very unnatural to me, not because they are from the end of the name, but because the sound just doesn't work for me. Especially Ily and Riel. Make Emily - Milly and Joseph - Sep and I think they work.

grrr just thought of this thread idea from the name apocalypse threadfor ones you listed-Geneva - Eve, Evie, Neve, Neve (two syllable, like the word for snow), Nieves, or just plain Snow if you wanna be real differentKathryn - Rindy (like the little girl from the movie Carol. idk if this was her full name or what)Emily - LilyNathaniel - Neil, Nelngl I'm not a fan of just like...taking the last two syllables and that's a nickname, ex Riel. though basing nicknames off the last letters is haaaardhmm some random ones:Roxana - Xanthe, Zany, Ana, Xanax (JOKE). also this doesn't meet the standards of being based off the final letters, but I've been seriously considering how cool Oxen would be (it..reminds me of a song I like)
Adelaide - Lida, Edie, Ida, Day
Magnolia - Nola, Ollie, Loni
Amaranth/ Amarantha/ Iolanthe/ Samantha/etc - Anthy
