WDYTO Kane?
What are your thoughts on the name Kane? What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear this name?

I think it's fine, but nothing I'd use. I think of sports, Harry Kane (who names their son hurricane?) and Patrick Kane

Regardless of spelling, the sound always takes me straight to Cain and Able, which is a dealbreaker for me, personally. I know it’s judgmental, but it makes me think the parents likely consider violence, mayhem, chaos, anarchy, maybe even race supremacy, to be cool/entertaining/goals.

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is a large dog such as a pitbull or German Shepard and pretty much anything that weighs like 50 IBS or above. And of course I think of a cane.
I don't exactly care for it (at least not on a person) but at the same time, I've seen worse. Far worse.

My mom's first dog was named Kane so it makes me think of dogs.

I like Kane. This is also my favourite spelling, preferred over Cain. The first thing that comes to mind is the character Marcus Kane from the CW tv show THE 100.

Makes me think of Harry Kane the footballer :')
I think it works as a first name, though I'm not sure I really like the sound.
Cain is also nice, but people would probably only think of Cain and Abel.

Apart from sugar? Not being American, I think of it as perhaps suited to a cowboy, real or wannabe. But I can't prove it! Never met one IRL.

Some white supremacist guy my friend dated for about two weeks in high school :/
Other than that, candy canes and walking canes. Also, caning, the corporal punishment...I think it's pretty boring. I would prefer Cain, though I know it comes from a different root, it looks nicer and more interesting. Or Cade, or Cage, or Gage, or Blaine, Dane, Lane, Shane...

Hi !!!My first association is Horatio Caine (Caine is the surname). He is the main character in CSI: Miami played by David Caruso.Kane seems a surname as Caine is.The second link is Keanu (actor Keanu Reeves). I much prefer Keanu over Kane.
