Ermintrude
Is it redeemable?
I've been starting to kind of like it recently. Don't think it's usable, but was just wondering if anyone else didn't hate it.

To me, it's not really redeemable with the name sounding a bit like a slush of stuff.

Tru(e)
Truly
Minnie
Irma/Erma

My dear departed Mini Cooper was named Ermintrude "Trudy"...even though I never called it that out loud.
I think it's elegant and full of character (but now I couldn't use it without feeling like I was naming someone after my car, which would be weird).

No, not redeemable, for cash or prizes or anything else. Who wants to sound like a weasel intruding?
I don't think so. While even Gertrude might be revitalised (while I'm not very fond of the pronunciation, I like the Shakespearean association), Ermintrude sounds rough and dated, and a girl bearing the name would almost definitely be teased.
I could see it having a niche hipster comeback, especially as a way to get to the nn Minnie, or with fans of the Shopaholic books. But I don’t think it will ever have widespread appeal.
It would be the perfect name for an interrupting weasel in a cartoon.

Ermintrude "Minnie" is lovely IMO. Maybe I'm a niche hipster :)
And that's... both oddly specific and oddly accurate.
