Wdyt of Heather?

Very pretty. Should have a comeback.
EDIT: I've never met one, so I don't 'get' the datedness, though I understand it is.

Heather is a beautiful plant, and it makes a lovely name.
Like it. It deserves a comeback. Nature names and word names are highly trending, as well as -er ending names for girls. It would be nice to see Heather climb in popularity, although I’d be surprised if it did.
I agree!
I don't understand how you could think that a name that entered the top ten 47 years ago, and left the top ten 32 years ago, meaning there are about ten gazillion women named Heather who are alive and walking around (okay I'm not really doing the math but I personally know no fewer than six women named Heather) is deserving of a comeback.
I know that there is a slim chance that it will come back anytime soon not come back but it seems fitting that it was popular now if it had not been so overwhelmingly popular in the past.
I just hate it. And I always feel bad saying so, because I have niece by the name of Heather, and she has that name because her mother, my sister, thought it was "such a beautiful name", and I love my sister. But I cannot tell a lie. I don't see the appeal. It sounds so harsh to me. And then there's the fact that it was so wildly popular and then when it fell, it fell hard, so it's ultra dated now and there are a plethora of women named Heather. What people thought of Gladys starting in the 1940s and continuing to the present day, is what they started thinking of Heather in the 2000s, and that will continue for many many years if not forever, and that's not a good thing.
It's a little dated at the moment, but still usable. It's one of those middle-ground names that I tend to like: well known, but you're not going to come across one every day.
Hi !!!
I love flowers. I like Heather and Erica the same (I'm Italian so Erica would be more immediate).
Heather is stronger than Erica and also more lively and cheerful. I can figure an Heather being very positive, chatterbox and well-going with everyone.
If I think of a famous Heather my only link is Heather Parisi, famous in many Italian TV shows in the past. That's just ok: no positive nor negative fact.
I rate Heather 8/10.
