I like it, but I like Joan or Jean better. I dislike that in French Jean and Jeanne are prn the same.What country are you in? If you're in France or a French speaking country, then I support Jeanne moreso because the prn will be understood, but to people who aren't obsessed with names like this group here, Jeanne may appear to be just a contrived version of Jean, not the French one.

In French Jean and Jeanne are not pronounced the same. The boy's name Jean (=John) is pronounced with an "ah" vowel sound and the "n" is nazalized. Jeanne is pronounced with a short "a" and the "n" sound is normal. It rhymes with English Jan or Ann, "zhan." They sound very different to me.
BTW, I too like (Scottish) Jean and (English) Joan for girls. :-)

I know about the swallowed N ... my favorite musical is Les Miserables. lol, but they are so close that it almost doesn't matter to me.
