Unusual BA
A friend of a friend had a baby girl this weekend and named her Olivette, after the baby's great-grandmother. They plan to call her Liv.WDYT? It's not a name you see every day!

Well, it sounds like a product you'd find on the store shelf in a jar which consists mostly of chopped olives and which you look at and can't figure out how anyone finds a use for it. It's marginally better than Olive. Marginally. But since it's a family name and they've come up with an okay nickname, I guess I'll say that I understand.

It's certainly interesting, but I'm not a fan of Oliv- names for girls, be they Olivia, Olive, or Olivette. However, I appreciate the nod towards the opera, and it might work with the nickname Liv.
