Ethel, Norma, and Mabel
What would you think if you met a sibset with these names? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Its super cute. I'm not fussed on Norma but its cute.
Ethel and Mabel are lovely though.
I would prefer Ethel, Nina and Mabel

I'd either assume they're all named after grandparents or great-grandparents, or that their parents think of themselves as extremely "hipster".

Because of the Ls on the end of Ethel and Mabel, I'd be scared of saying "Ethel, Normal, and Mabel."

I would be surprised if the sibling set was younger than their 70s.

I would love the sibset. I love the names Mabel and Ethel, Mabel being my favourite girl's name I intend to use. They are classic, yet beautiful and cute.

I would think their parents are silent movie fans: Ethel Barrymore, Norma Shearer, and Mabel Normand were wonderful silent screen actresses. I’d expect them all to grow up with an appreciation of all things old Hollywood.

As a sibset, they sound dated - 1930s-1950s. I love Norma and Mabel. I don't like Ethel at all.

I would think I had to raise my voice so their ninety-year-old ears could hear me, and that I should offer to help them get across the street and insist that they should go ahead of me in line.

I would squeal! I love them, especially Ethel.

Hi !!!!I would be surprised. They all have a 1950s vintage vibe. This is not either positive or negative. I saw names far worse than them.I prefer other names like:Nancy
Bonnie
Cindy
Peggy
Celia
Shirley
Marilyn
Wanda
Robyn
Dorothy
Jean

I know a Mabel, who goes by her mn, and an Ethel who is horrified that it is her mn and always and only uses her fn. In both cases, these are family names.I remember that my mother knew a Norma who was named after her father, Norman. Makes as much sense as anything.I rather like Mabel.

Very pleasant surprise. I don't love any of these names personally, but I'd enjoy seeing them used.

In spite of the fact that I don't like Ethel or Norma, I'd be charmed. I'd still think Mabel was luckier than her sisters, though.

I suppose it would depend on their age. If it was a sibset of 3 little old ladies, I would probably first think “oh how sweet! But what ugly names!”And if it was a sibset of toddlers or young children I would think “wow! What ugly names for these poor sweet children!”

Young sibs. Let's say, ages 5-8.

Then yeah. I would definitely think something along the lines of “gosh. Those are some of the ugliest names you could pick for little girls. Why?”
