Good question! Willow is definitely my pick but I also love Hazel.

Both names are really nice. I guess it would depend on the last name and middle name that was to be paired with one of these, which I would go for.

I love them both and can’t choose one over the other. The combo Willow Hazel would be phenomenal.

Hate Willow, love Hazel. I don't know why, but that's the way it is.

Willow! I like both, and I like the witchy connotations of Hazel, but if I had to use one I'd pick Willow because of the sort of 80's thing that Hazel has going on. It's like it absorbed some Heatherness from Heather or something.

Willow is pretty and ethereal, but it also seems sad and a little droopy. I like it, but it is bitter sweet.

Hazel is a herb of healing. It is soothing with a touch of mythical whimsy. I like names ending in "L" so the sound is also very appealing to me.

I prefer Hazel. Willow is too ethereal and floaty for my taste.

I much prefer Hazel, it has more history as a given name then Willow. But I like Willow as a boys name.

They're both trendy, somewhat cliche nature names, but I consider them grounded and meaningful despite that, so I like them.
Hazel seems more vintage-new, while Willow's more new-fangled. Willow seems softer (willowy, emotive) and Hazel seems harsher (witchy, prickly).
I have an aunt named Hazel who thinks Hazel is the ugliest name ever and has always gone by her MN instead.

I'd pick Willow because I think of it for combos sometimes already. I tend to like names that are a bit harsh and weird, and it balances those.
Hazel also sounds repetitive with my last name, so I'd not use it because of that, if I were considering it IRL for myself or a daughter.

Willow seems trendy and all wound up in early 2000s pop culture, with Will Smith naming his daughter that and the Buffy character. It sounds like something a late 90s/early 2000s teen would have LOVED during her hippy phase, along with long skirts, bandanas, sunflowers, wooden sun carvings and paisley.

I pick Hazel, because it just sounds more substantial than feeble ol' Willow.

I love them both, but prefer Willow :)

I like both Willow and Hazel tremendously. Since they're both trees, have two syllables, and share an energetic, youthful sound, I think they'd make great names for sisters. If I had to pick one over the other, it'd be Hazel - it sounds more classic than Willow, and I have an affinity for old-fashioned names.

I enjoy both. I can't remember right now, but I would guess both have increased in popularity recently, which decreases their likability for me (the snob that I am). I think they're going to get to the point where they just sound trendy and obnoxious in the way that, say, Ava (which I also like very much) has already done. That's sad. Because apart from that, I like them. They both have lovely sounds and I like the nature connotations. If I had to pick one, I think it would be Hazel.
