Re: uncommon unisex names with simple spelling, nicknames

Off that list, my favorites are Cedar and Linden, though I don't like Cece as a nn. I agree Arizona sounds more feminine, but Ari is more neutral.
Here are my ideas
Kestrel - like this for a boy or a girl, no nicknames I love jumping out though
Phoenix - feels more masculine to me, but could go either way. Maybe it isn't as simple a spelling though. Nix/Nixie?
True - I don't hold the Kardashian against it
Arden - feels more feminine to me, but if you like the sound of Dresden
Aspen - Azzie?
Lupin - probably some pretty strong Harry Potter associations, but
Peregrine - I could see this work for either. Perry is a cute nn.
Everest - similarity to Everett makes it feel pretty masculine, but Ev, Evie could be feminine
Vesper - I just like it
Starling - I think it's kind of cute. However some people don't like starlings
