Re: Ruby
My first impression is A short, chubby girl with plain brown hair, not very cute at all. I went to middle and high school with a girl named Ruby that fit the description. I always bought it sad that a pretty gemstone name was given to her and she turned out so plain and somewhat ugly.
And her sister was named Jade, and was thin and beautiful and lovely. Anyways, I sorta like it. It’s kind of old fashioned but cute, shirt and spunky and happy.

Idk, I think one of the great things about gemstones is they can be hard and chunky and still pretty.

I suppose you can think any name you like “wasted” on someone who you don’t deem worthy of it.My like of Ruby doesn’t come from thinking rubies are beautiful and therefore a child with the name would be, I just simply like it. I don’t read too much into meaning to be honest. I find it cool when I find a name with a unique or interesting meaning, but it’s not something I hold much importance to.
