Re: Ruby

My first impression is A short, chubby girl with plain brown hair, not very cute at all.
I went to middle and high school with a girl named Ruby that fit the description. I always bought it sad that a pretty gemstone name was given to her and she turned out so plain and somewhat ugly.
And her sister was named Jade, and was thin and beautiful and lovely.
Anyways, I sorta like it. It’s kind of old fashioned but cute, shirt and spunky and happy.

Idk, I think one of the great things about gemstones is they can be hard and chunky and still pretty.
I suppose you can think any name you like “wasted” on someone who you don’t deem worthy of it.
My like of Ruby doesn’t come from thinking rubies are beautiful and therefore a child with the name would be, I just simply like it. I don’t read too much into meaning to be honest. I find it cool when I find a name with a unique or interesting meaning, but it’s not something I hold much importance to.
