I've never known anyone with this name so it seems quite fresh in my mind.

I would love to meet a Dante. It is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, but I can see it working in real life on either gender although preferably on a boy. Dante strikes me as passionate but a trifle enigmatic.

I've liked it since the first time I heard it, as far as I know...until a few years ago. Now, when I hear the DAHN part, I think Donald, and that ruins it for me.

It also reminds me a bit of Count of Monte Cristo, which isn't bad.

I like it. I used to think it was unusable, but I've met and heard of several people named Dante and similar-sounding names. I think it would make a good middle name.

For some reason, I picture the mom of a Dante to be some ody who brags about how she’s so well-read, but when you get right down to it she’s read only two classic novels and then tons and tons of romance paperbacks.
