Azula and Sapphire

Azula is pretty, I prefee the 'l' sound to Azure or Azura.
I don't hate Sapphire, but it sounds sort of fluffy with all the soft consonants.

Azula is a beautiful name and I prefer it over Azure or other similar names which seem a little harsh and cold (which is ironic coming from the character this name originates from lol). And obviously I don't mind the association being an ATLA fan myself (I could also see Katara working in real life).
Sapphire has never worked for me as a name, if you want a quirky sounding gem name I think Topaz is a better choice.

I enjoy how blue they are but not enough to contemplate using either of them.
Soundwise...
I'd prefer Zephyra / Sephora / Saphira to Sapphire.
I'd prefer Azula over something like Azura / Azure / Aziza...actually, it seems a bit like a mellower Azalea and reminds me of Rasul, which I like. hmm.
I've never seen Avatar or met anyone with either name.

Too bad Azula is tied so much to the ATLA character for me. It's cool sounding. I'd probably approve of it if I saw it IRL, and forget about the cartoon.
Sapphire ... I just don't go for names that have this kind of sound. I don't know why, they just feel to me like they're straining at glamor, the sound of Saffron, Sapphire, Saskia. The "fire" sound and the "precious gemminess" makes Sapphire even more so. A name for a Siamese cat.
But if I met a Sapphire in real life, I doubt I'd bother to dislike it. It'd be fine. It'd be like Ruby and Amber and Crystal ... just a shiny name destined for mediocrity, and I don't mind that style at all.

ATLA is what made me ask actually, I’ve been taking a trip down memory lane
