I understand the dated aspect to it but I think its quite lovely. I personally wouldn't at all mind meeting a young 'Cynthia' I think 'Thia/Thea' as a nn would be a great alternative as opposed to 'Cindy' (Though I don't see any dramatic issues with it)
It does make me think of Angelica Pickle's doll (LOL) but gah, whatever. That childhood association woven into my mind is probably what caused my admiration upon the name. Certainly not a name I can ever forsee myself using but one I can certainly still appreciate.
