It’s dated, there’s nothing interesting about the sound, and it’s kind of like naming your child “Woman”.
Dawn is also plain and dated, but at least it has nice imagery. If I were trying to honour a Donna (which, in my mind, would be the only reason to even go near it) I’d use Dawn as a mn or something.
