I think the name Barbara is an emphatically dated and revloting name that should have left the charts DECADES ago. I can't even envision it still being used, much less stomach it. Some dated names are tollerable but 'Barbara' just isn't one of them. It really belongs in another decade, buried and forgotten. I detest EVERYTHING about this name including all of its diminutives.
I've encounter a few pleasant 'Barbara/Barbra' throughout my life including my 6th grade teacher if my memory serves me correct but I never been sold on the name. And I simply never will.
