It's annoying to me, kind of the same way Steven is annoying to me. I think my dislike of it comes entirely from overuse in the 20th century.
The sound and meaning by themselves seem pleasant enough to me, and I have an uncle Jeff who I like.
Geoffrey looks way better than Jeffrey to me, so then in reality, it seems like a let down because they sound exactly the same.
Jefferson isn't an improvement imo. It just seems like a preppier Jeffrey.
