My old boss just gave birth to her second son. They named him Nolan Blayne. His older brother is Maison, don't know his middle name.
WDYT?

Blayne is a interesting spelling. I first read that as Madison somehow, which I thought was interesting for a boy.
Hi !!!
Congratulations to them!!
Unfortunately I'm not a fan of either.

Nolan and Blayne don't sound good together at all, just too many n's. And Blayne is a silly spelling. At least they let Nolan be. I know they mean Maison to be a form of Mason (because they want to give their kid a Unique name, but also want to name him Mason) but I just want to read it as the French word maison. House. It's an even sillier spelling than Blayne. But I don't like Mason with the regular spelling, either.
I like the middle name Blaine - as so much can be done with it, though especially in the middle form--though nothing need be done should the child prefer his first name - which might be more probable anyway.
I love how easily Blayne shortens to Layne or Layney (spell these forms as you like).
I had a teacher in third grade by the name of Elaine--and I still wonder whether such a name (variation or derivative) might be usable for guys - yet when we review Blaine - it may be indeed.
I also wonder about Ellen & Hellen (consider Helenus - son to King Priam)
