I would be surprised unless he was a young child or an old man. I don't care about the slang association, which has never been part of my vocabulary. I just think Willie is a childish nickname, like Timmy, Bobby, Joey, etc.

Dick is totally different to me. If a non-elderly American guy told me his name was Dick, I would assume he was trying to get a reaction from me and not spend any time talking to him.
