Horrible. Willie is just awful. I've always felt that way. Of course, it doesn't help that it was/is a slang term for "penis". Although I don't know how commonly the term is used these days, I still think of it.
When I was pregnant with my son, we'd already decided to call him Will (if it was a boy). During a conversation with my mother-in-law, she ordered me to call him Will and not Willie. I was annoyed by the fact that she was ordering me to do something I'd already decided to do, but the fact that I hate Willie so much certainly prevented me from ignoring her order out of spite, lol.
