Beatrix and Felix
Are the names Beatrix and Felix okay as a pair? I don't need opinions on the names individually. Just as a pair. I don't love the matching Xs, but I do love the names! Is it too obnoxious to use as a sibling set? Thanks!

Really not something I'd recommend doing, especially for an actual set. Sorry.
Perhaps use them for any future pets or even characters if you like writing. I mean 'Beatrix & Felix' sound more like a set you'd come across in a children's story anyway as opposed to real life.

I don’t remember if it was you or not, but a while ago somebody asked for lists of names to go with Beatrix. I agonized over whether to put Felix on my list because it’s such a great name. Ultimately, though, I think it’s just too matchy.

They sound too alike. Maybe use Beatrice for Beatrix, or Felicius for Felix.

I think they sound too much alike when both end in -ix.

VERY obnoxious! It's not just the fact that the names have matching x's (Xander and Xavier have matching x's and yet these are fine, IMO) but Beatrix and Felix RHYME. They both end in the same sound 'ix'.It doesn't matter that these are both "nice" names that are hipster and loved in namenerd communities and just the "right" amount of well-known without being overly popular blah blah blah. In my opinion you might as well use Billy and Tilly.

I love Felix but prefer Beatrice to Beatrix. And the double i x sounds would be annoying, they sound a bit like something out of the Asterix comics.

They are a bit matchy and I don't think they stand the "shout through the house test", bc they have similar vowel sounds as well the -x ending. However, they aren't awful together either. If you'd use for example "Bea" as a nickname, then there are fewer problems. If you'd use it while it isn't sure there will be more children in the family, I'd reconsider, bc they're sort of asking for another -x- sibling. So either you limit your options or risk having an 'odd one out'. I do think both names individually are nice, which makes me lean towards 'go for it', but if I'm honest I might not have said that if I hadn't liked the names :)

Hi !!!I like both individually. They both have an Ancient Latin origin and they are cute but...not together. They seems too matched like Asterix & Obelix. It would be a pity ruin them by this way.

I don't think it's obnoxious, just inconvenient. My sister and I have similar sounding names and when you shout up the stairs, often the wrong sibling came running.
