I had a colleague once, an Afrikaans woman, whose nn was Neta. In her case, it was short for Agneta, so in neither case does it have anything to do with being 'neat' and tidy, but it always sounds as if it should. She was a good person and I liked her, but I'm at best neutral about her name.

I think Neta is really cute, but I agree that maybe you should spell it 'Netta' since 'neta' is Mexican slang (not bad slang, it just means 'the truth' or 'for real') and I'll just be thinking of that every time I see it lol

I think it might pair well with Isidora, Rhea, Aeron (means berry), or Silvia (wood/forest)

I prefer Netta because the pronunciation is more obvious and it has more of a prickly, planty feel because the t's are pointy and it also looks like "nettle". I think it has a slight "old lady" feel (in a good way). It reminds me of Hazel, Hattie, Harriet, Hester, Nella, Denna, Della, Henna, etc.

Is it pronounced like Nita (nee-duh)?
