Paige
An aunt of mine informed me that she and her roommate recently adopted a kitten from a nearby neighbor. They have a 2-3 year old male cat with a long haired coat (White & Greg, bulky built) named Shadow who hopefully will come around and befriend the little fellow. (He's still getting used to her)
The name my aunt gave the kitten is "Paige" (All black minus a small patch of white, at least according to her. I haven't seen it yet but might this upcoming weekend) (:
1: WDYT about "Paige?" I really like it and I'm a huge fan of human-type names on pets which is a plus in my book.
2: If you were to adopt a cat or kitten (any gender) are there any names that you know you would want to use or would it depend on its appearance?
My answer: I'd use "Lydia" within a moment's notice as it's unlikely I would be able to use it for an actual daughter if I ever have one. (Grrr! Lol) After my cat passes which would be outright devastating, she's a 16 year old tortoiseshell named Diamond, I plan on adopting two cats or kittens. Elowen or Stanley for the other but not at all certain. Those names are subject to change. All I know is "Lydia" is a must! Lol

I've always liked Paige, especially as a middle name. I wouldn't use it on a cat; I'm not overly fond of people names on cats, or at least not names I'd actually be willing to use on a person.
We've got three cats now: Pumpkin, Diesel and Junebug, so hard to think about naming another one.
If I had a black cat I'd like to name it Black Betty. lol

I know a black and white cat named Tux, as, Tuxedo; This cat has a white front and belly, like a shirt.
I'd do that, maybe.
Black Betty, bam-a-lam!

Black with blue eyes, that is rare and nifty. Kali is a good name. Although it sounds too much like Collie and since pet names are mostly spoken, that'd stop me from using it for a cat. If it's "Callie" I guess that's better, even if it might be incorrect.
Paige is okay but doesn't strike me as an awesome cat name. I guess I'd need to meet the cat though. My cat got named by the kids and the HP character name they gave doesn't fit ... in my mind his name is something like Laurence, Florin, Louis ... I'm not sure, I just call him by the ill-fitting name because it's pleasantly silly. Should've been Lorenzo, haha. Enzo. That would have fit. He's gray and white.
Diamond is a great name for a cat. I like Lydia, Elowen, and Stanley too.
I have a cat named Bear and in my mind, sometimes it's Bert pronounced in French.
I once named a cat Kirby.

Kali (update)
My sister took in one of the siblings and named it Kali (All black with stunning blue eyes) She has another cat named Karma who is the sibling to Shadow. Together there's a total four cats between my aunt and sister with two sibling sets.
I'm unsure of the gender or selected pronunciation of Kali. I knew a boy from school who had that name and his was said as "Kah-LEE" (Rhyming with Polly\Molly\Holly)
Either way, I'm delightfully surprised she actually used a human-type name this time around and not some weird name suited solely for a pet
