Apiffany?
Yikes. I read this one in a magazine today, it was on a grown woman. Ew. I guess a mixture between epiphany and Tiffany. Yuck. WDYT?

Apiffany is pretty bad. There was a girl in my husband's niece's high school graduating class last year named Epiphanie and that's bad enough. Still, there's a little girl in my dd's class named Synquisity and that's even worse. Poor kids.
Synquisity?
Yowza, that's bad. It sounds like "Inquisitive about sin." Are the parents hoping for a modern day Grand Inquisitor?

LOL, agreed. On the first day of school, I thought her name was Synchronicity at first glance!
I didn't think mixture...
I thought, "Someone's parents do not know how to spell epiphany."

Hehe, agreed!
That was my first thought, but the other one makes sense too.
Quadritto! Is that legit to say? ;-)

I don't think this is a "mixture"; I just think it's a respelling of Epiphany in what the parent thinks is a more phonetic rendering. I'd prefer the original myself, but at least it seems clear to me how Apiffany should be pronounced.
I really rather like Epiphany, mostly theoretically...
...But Apiffany is not one I'd ever advocate!
I once promised my sister that if I ever had a baby girl born on January 6th, I'd name her Tiffany, because honestly? The sound of the name is gorgeous, and its old associations are really cool. It's unfortunate that it now brings to mind malls and the 80s.

You might even provide a Heaven for them. We need You for that. Hell we can make for ourselves.

Hahaha! What a small, sad world. My neighbor's daughter is named Apiffany.
I thought it was a completely original- and horrible- creation. The fact that there is more than one person with this name makes me sad. :/

Wow. That is definitely awful.
What I think is not appropriate to be written on a message board. Let's leave it as: Completely and totally atrocious.
So true.
I fifth that!
