I kinda like it, so any middle name suggestions are welcome.

i would like it just for the sound. but knowing the origin of the name personally ruins it for me- i can't stand Voltaire.
the clothing store also comes to mind, and i wouldn't care if it were a more common name, or so many ppl i know weren't so into that store, or if i wasn't so aware of all the controversies it got involved in. but those are all the associations i have.

I love it; it's on my PNL! A very nice alternative to Sarah.
I strongly dislike Zara. It sounds harsh and it isn't pretty at all. I'm afraid I can't say anything positive about it.
I keep forgetting about Zara. I like it pretty well. I tend to notice other names that seem more striking, like Zinnia, but I actually like them a bit less. I feel like Zara might start to take off in US popularity, in about five or ten more years. I don't care about the retailer, it's about as important as Avery labels or Mason jars or Piper airplanes are to those names. And the royal granddaughter is a little off-putting somehow, but is fairly obscure so whatever. I think of it as a fashiony name that isn't empty, but is "fresh" and novel enough in my experience to have no real negative associations. Like Kaia, Gemma, Isla ... I like them. I've seen Zara hyphenated with another short name, and I thought it worked well.

Zara has been my go-to girl name starting with the letter 'Z'
To me the name sounds exotically beautiful in an 'uncomplicated' fashion. (Pronunciation and spelling are pretty straightforward. Of course 'Zarah' is another spelling one might use. I personally wouldn't).
A few combination ideas:
*Zara Elodie*
Zara Isabelle
Zara Josephine
Zara Linette
