I love her mythological heritage; sad yet eternal.

I think it's awesome when I see other people using it. I prefer shorter names myself, and don't love Philomena's nicknames. The -mina just feels like too much. But I love the meaning and history.
I know a triplet Philomena with sisters Isabella & Odilia. Another little Philomena I know has two older brothers Dominic & Blaise.

Very religious, probably Catholic, inconveniently long, clunky rhythm. Not a fave.
I love it because it's operatic but grounded. I prefer Philomela, though.
The meaning is nicer than the sound I think. I don't really like 'phil'names
My husband had an aunt named Philomena, always called so, never nick-named.This in a very nick-name-y family
I kind of like the name. If forced to use it, I could.

I love it! It's a bit more of a guilty pleasure name than an actual option for me, but I think it's lovely and would love to see it on a little girl.
I think it's nice, but I like Philomène even more.
I quite like it. I like the sound and the look of it, so I think it's a good name.
