1. Paulina - I would use. I LOVE Polly and would use that as a nickname.
2. Pauline - I actually like the sound of this more than Paulina, but it has a strong dated feel I can't totally get past.
3. Paulette - This feels even more dated, and I try to stay away from glottal T.
4. Paula - Not happy associations, but a nice sound.

Paulette - makes me think of a palette. I'm not very fond of -ette and -etta names.
Paulina - rather cute.
Pauline - sounds like a brat to me, maybe because I used to know a bratty girl whose mn was Pauline.
Paula - rather common in my generation, so not a name I would give a child, but I used to know a nice girl called Paula, so it's not bad.

1 Paula
2 Paulette
3 Paulina
4 PaulineBut, I'd trade all of them for Polly! I've put Pauline in the bottom slot because I dislike most spondees, and Pauline seems extra clunky.

None of them really appeal to me, but for some reason I love Paola. In order:
Paula
Paulina
Pauline
Paulette All of the feminizations of Paul feel rather dated and the -ette ending is also very dated. I also fine it a rather lazy way to feminize.

My order of preference would be here1. Paulina, quite the best one, still the most current variant
2. Pauline, can't say I'm a fan of it, kind of vintage charm
3. Paula, boring, overused in the 90's, lacking in content
4. Paulette, real old ladies name, rather dated If I had to use such a Paul-FN, it would most likely be Paola, Polina or Paulien.

Paulette - A good French name.
