Love it. It's my great-aunt's name. It's short for Mathilda in her case.

I dislike heavily, just makes me think of an old wrinkled lady and Hitler weirdly.

But I love Hilda. I sometimes wish i'd used it as my daughters first name, but I do love Theodora more. I'm glad that I did give it to her as a middle name.

I have a soft spot for it, like most 'clunky' medieval revival names. But mostly I think I just like the idea of Hildy.

I no likey. It's like an old hag who chases kids off the sidewalk with a broom and screeches at the paperboy for not landing the Sunday paper exactly on the doormat so she actually has to take a step or two out the door to pick it up.

I think it's kind of cute. It makes me think of a friendly witch. I would like to see it on someone else. However I wouldn't use it and honestly I wouldn't want to be named Hilda. It just has a bit of an old+ugly image :( I put it in the same category as Wilma.

It seems insubstantial to me, which is a bit odd because it's also one of those old Germanic feminine names that seem heavy.

I don't hate it, but I'd like Hildy / Mathilda / Swanhilda / Brynhild / Hildegarde a little more and Helga a lot more.

I think it's kinda cool. It's pretty intense and spare, but the right person could make it interesting and soften it.

I'm beginning to like this. Right now I think it's a bit old fashioned, which is why I'm personally leaning towards Hilde instead of Hilda, which is a bit more youthful to me.

I actually kind of like Hilda for some reason. I wouldn’t actually use it though.
