Bay B. is at least better than Baby, which actually charted (https://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/babyname.cgi).
I think it's a harmless nature name.
Though there's something passive about it that I don't like, maybe because "at bay" implies someone's cornered. And it does also refer to barking, but oh well.
It doesn't remind me of hay fever at all.

But that doesn't actually mean it was used that much as an actual name. I mean, Unknown, Girl, Boy and Infant also charted in the past and nobody is actually named those.

I wonder why it charted 1984-2005 but not before or afterward.
As I recall, it charted much more frequently in the early days, before the SSA started keeping good records.
