Kendrick

Kendrick is probably my favorite "Ken" name, but is now so heavily associated with Kendrick Lamar that I think if you used it, people would assume you're naming your son after him.
I like it, especially paired with heavy, old-fashioned sounding names (Absalom Kendrick is one of my current favorite combos).
Ken is familiar; drick is kind of dashing.
Kendr is probably reminiscent of 'kindred' to me.
It's not a name that will inevitably be shortened.
If I've met any, I don't remember.

I worked with a Kendrick! He went by Kendrick, nobody called him anything else. He was a huge trekkie, probably could speak Klingon.
I like that name a lot. It's so appealingly masculine. I don't like the Ken part by itself. I like the whole name - the ENDR as one thing in the middle, is crucial for me. It's like the word thunder - the "ndr" is the sound of it, sandwiched by the hard Ks.
I also like the name Rick, but I wouldn't shorten Kendrick to get it.

Whoops, replied to wrong post
If you worry about a certain nn, my advice is always not to use it. The kid is going to use whatever name they want regardless of what the family uses.
I haven't met one but I do like it. I even have Kendra on my list as well.
