Re: Hera
in reply to a message by noel
I went through an Ancient Greek phase growing up and I really disliked Hera. I though it was super unfair that instead of taking her anger out on her husband, she would do horrible things to these poor girls that were seduced/raped by a GOD, as if it was their fault. And I thought it was super hypocritical she was the goddess of marriage. Like a marriage is where a wife stews jealously, puts up with her husbands shitty behaviour and kills his mistresses?Anyway.. As a name I quite like it.. Coincidentally, i just read a tumblr post about a woman named Hera. I think it's cool."I contradict myself? Very well, I contradict myself. I am large. I contain multitudes." - Walt Whitman.

We had to have seen the same tumblr post. The one where she walked her dog with a peacock feather attached to his leash?

I love that you still like it - especially after what you wrote in the first paragraph.
