It’s grown on me recently, though it sounds dated.
I love the name Ada, it's lovely. Ada Rose, Ada Violet and Ada Elizabeth Nina are all nice combos. My fave Ada combo is Ada Florence. I believe it was my maternal great-great grandmother who was named that name. And my paternal great grandmother was Ada Grace I believe, also a beautiful combo. Ada Pearl is another fave.
I feel like it lacks the backbone of Ida, the poise of Adele, the liveliness of Ava, the gravitas of Adelaide, the quirkiness of Adair, and the simplicity of Ana.
Or: it works okay as a name, but nothing stands out to me about it in a way that is appealing.
When I see/hear it, I mainly think...
1 - "add a" or "atta girl"
2 - it's the Sindarin word for "Dad"
3 - Addison in a corset (and I don't like Addison)
So I'd prefer combos like:
Adelaide Nina Eliza
Adair Elizabeth Nina
Ida Margot
Adele Violet
Ana Josephine
Rose Eliza
Rose Elizabeth Adair
Adele Nina Violet
