I honestly don’t care for this name at all. It makes me think of “mutton” and I cannot picture it on a girl.

I kind of like it in a guilty pleasure kind of way. I’d never think about actually using it. I only like it on a boy.

I'm not a fan of Sutton. I don't like the sound, and I'm not a big fan of surnames as names. If I had to use it, I'd prefer it on a boy.

I think of the actress Sutton Foster, but it still gives me a masculine vibe. It sounds too choppy and, well, "sudden" for my tastes. A softer middle name would be the best bet for either sex, I think - Ms. Foster is Sutton Lenore, for example.
