What do you think of the name Sutton? Do you prefer it for girls or boys? What names/combos would you pair it with in a sibset? What combos would you make with it outside of a sibset?

I honestly don’t care for this name at all. It makes me think of “mutton” and I cannot picture it on a girl.

I kind of like it in a guilty pleasure kind of way. I’d never think about actually using it. I only like it on a boy.I think Sutton, Miles, and Agatha would sound cute together. I also think it would sound good with Adelaide, Amabel, Annalise, Beatrice, Catherine, Charlotte, Claudia, Johanna, Mila, Natalie, RosalieAdrian, Avery, Bailey, Harrison, Julian, Leo, Levi, Luca, Matthias, Rhys, Richard, Thomas, and Tristan.Combos I like are…Sutton Adrian
Sutton Alfred
Sutton Andrew
Sutton Arthur
Sutton August
Sutton Carl
Sutton Charles
Sutton Douglas
Sutton Elias
Sutton Francis
Sutton Henry
Sutton Jude
Sutton Julian
Sutton Matteo
Sutton Thomas

I'm not a fan of Sutton. I don't like the sound, and I'm not a big fan of surnames as names. If I had to use it, I'd prefer it on a boy. Here are some combos:Sutton Alexander
Sutton Benedict
Sutton Henry
Sutton Beauregard
Sutton ThaddeusSutton Rosemary
Sutton Thelma
Sutton Keturah

Yikes. It's such a slaveowner name. Offensive comment? Whoops

I think of the actress Sutton Foster, but it still gives me a masculine vibe. It sounds too choppy and, well, "sudden" for my tastes. A softer middle name would be the best bet for either sex, I think - Ms. Foster is Sutton Lenore, for example.

Sutton Lenore isn't too bad at all actually.
