When it's spelled "danke", it means "thank you" in German. It might not really bother me, but I took four years of German, so...lol (and I know Danka isn't a German name, but "danke" is what came to mind first)

I can't recognize any special sounding on Danka, for me it's just short and sweet.
Personally, would prefer Danika, Dania or Daniela.

Plus, everyone here in Germany would say Danke, Danka or Dankeschön, Danka etc., so it wouldn't be a good option to use.
Incidentally, something similar already exist here: Danke, Anke!

What is its sound? Could be DANka or DUHNka.

DANka pleases me more, because DUHNka is like German Danke = Thanks. But I prefer Danica (daNITSa). And 'dank' isn't a word I'd like to have as part of my name.

I find nothing to like about the sound. Either dank, like damp and cold, or like Danke Schoen, German for thank you.

I didn’t do much German (and I live in the UK) but we still use it enough among friends even that it I can only think ‘danke’.

It sounds very Eastern European to me. Not necessarily something to avoid, it just depend on how you feel about that.

Also it's very close to the Dutch and German for "thanks", also not necessarily a thing to avoid, especially if you're living in an English speaking area, it shouldn't matter.

Other than that I quite like Danka, but for the above reasons I wouldn't think of using it.

Don’t like it, different spelling but danke is German for thank you.

It reminds me too much of danke and dank for my liking. I'd prefer Danica / Danika for that type sound.

Reminds me of dank as in memes and marijuana, but the sound of it is lovely.

Could you tell me a bit more about it? What’s the origin?
