Not a big fan of Carson. It really does fit that two-syllable -son trend that’s been going on for a while. Doesn’t really have a positive meaning and just seems like a surname used to fit a trend. Also, it just “seems young” to me, like Cooper or Carter. I know there are older Carsons (Carson Wentz, Carson Daly) but it still seems a bit out of place on an adult imho.
I can think of one: Dorothea — used to think it tried too hard to be “hipster trendy,” but now I appreciate it for its complex sound and positive meaning. Same for Ophelia.
