Kinga
I have a new female co-worker, whose name is Kinga. (She is of Polish descent)
I hated it when I first heard it, but she's lovely and it makes the name nicer?

It's a fairly common name in Poland. I don't like the name, though. I knew two women from Poland with the name. One of them was nice, but the other was rude and nasty. Sadly, the latter was the first Kinga I met, so that kinda colored my impression of the name, so by the time I met the nice one, the damage had already been done.I haven't heard it used in Brazil.

I love the formal Kunigonde, Cunigund, Kunigonde, Cunégonde, Kunegunda, spell the name as you like; and love even more that she has the informal Kinga as yet another variation. I see little reason why she can't also occasionally(?) use Gunda, Negunde, or whatever other spelling she likes.

I used to know a Kinga. She was from Hungary and pronounced her name KING-ga. I think it's a cute name.

I like it. It's not something that I'd use, as I don't have any connection to the Saint or the culture it comes from, but it's a cool name. No odder than any of the many names I see/hear every day.
