It reminds me of Artemis Fowl, holy days like Christmas and Candlemas, and 18th century fashion. It could grow on me.I don't generally like Briar, but I think it looks/sounds cool as a MN here. I think I'd most like Artemas paired with nature/word names in general.I also think Artemas Hugo works well.

I remember hearing of the Artemis Fowl books but I've never read them myself. I can also see the connection to the holy days.I love Briar for a boy so I'm glad you can appreciate it as a middle name. I think you're right about Artemas and nature names, that could be quite striking.Thank you!

Not a huge fan of the name, but these are the middle names I think sound GREAT with it! These two combos made me smile. Artemas Theodore
Artemas Alexander

I can appreciate that you're not a fan of the name. I'm quite fond of those combos as well. Thank you!

Interesting and I'd like to see it on other people but not a favorite for me (I don't care much for Artemis either so it's a sound thing I think). There is someone on my dad's family tree named Artimus Fenwick which I think is really cool. He's part of a huge sibset that is overwhelmingly average names.
Favorite combos are:Artemas John
Artemas Briar
Artemas Harold
Artemas Leo
Artemas Peter
Artemas Hugo
Artemas Henry

Artimus Fenwick is really cool! I always love/hate looking back on family trees and finding people with great names and hoping their siblings or children have equally interesting names only to find they're just John or Mary.Thank you!

Artemas/Artemus is one of my favourite names! I think it's such an under appreciated name, and a perfect (very obvious) way of avoiding using Artemis on a boy, but getting almost the same sound. Artemas has always come across as really intelligent and thoughtful. As for combos, Hugo is part of my own Artemus combo, so I love Artemas Hugo. I also like:
Artemas Theodore
Artemas John
Artemas George
Artemas Timothy
Artemas Peter

I see Artemas the exact same way as you do, which is reassuring. I hope it gets more attention as time goes by.Hugo does fit well with Artemas / Artemus, doesn't it?Thank you!
