Shir / Shira / Shiri
Shir is the Hebrew word for song (Shira is the feminine form). Shiri means “my song.” In modern times they’re pretty popularly used as names in Israel. WDYTO them?Edited to add Shiri.*previously posted as summitseeker*

I think Shira is really pretty and Shiri I've loved for years.

I like Shir, it's elegant and soft, but not squishy.Shira is gorgeous, but has this explosive beauty to it. It's almost too bright to use. Its like when a microphone gets too close to the speaker.Shiri is adorable, the perfect balance between Shir and Shira. I just wish I didn't sound like I was missing Siri I when I said it.

Shiri used to be a favorite of mine. I still like it, but not as much as I used to.Shir seems a bit awkward to me because of the word 'sheer', but that'd bother me less if I used it regularly.Shira is okay, but I'm always tempted to turn it into Ashira when I read it.

I forgot to add Shiri — just added it to the OP. And yes, I really like it and Shir. I’m not a big fan of Shira, mostly because it fits in with other trendy two-syllable -a names in the US.
