It depends on the names, of course. But a lot of the time, the boyish nn feels childish, like an adult should have graduated to another nn or the full name.
I like Toni a lot, but on its own rather than bothering with a longer name.
I'm not sure I'd classify Jackie and Jodie as especially masculine, though they can and are used as male names, but I do like them. I prefer Jacqueline as the full name, but for Jodie I think it's fine on its own. Jo is kind of cute in a no-nonsense, softball-pitching, gum-cracking, great-spaghetti-sauce-making sort of way. Bobbi is cute too, but I really dislike Roberta so would rather Bobbi just be on its own.
