I've only known two of them. One was a girl who was briefly in middle school with me. She was from Boston and so she pronounced her name Mah-see. The other was a friend's mother, who'd be in her seventies now. Her full name was Marcelia.I don't like the name Marcy at all. It sounds mousy and pinched up and at the same time, it feels cheap.
