Middle name suggestions for Harper and Elliot.
Friend is having a girl and is between Harper and Elliot. I know these are not BTN's favorites but be nice; I'm going to link her to this thread. She likes Harper Rose or Elliot Jane but since Harper Rose is so popular, I thought I'd get some other ideas. She does feel the middle should be more feminine to balance the first name. She also likes Ivy and Brynn. So let's hear your best suggestions.

I'm not a fan of Harper, but I can definitely tolerate it more than Elliot on a girl. Harper was never that common as a boys' name, so it crossing over to the girls doesn't bother me as much. Surnames on girls aren't the end of the world. Shirley and Beverly are surnames too (and originally boys' names), and these days you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who think of them as anything but female. Some middle name ideas:Lillian
Amy
Abigail
Amelia
Stella
Alexandra
Catherine
Victoria
Eleanor
Julia
Clementine
Isabel
Isla
Gemma

Firstly, congratulations! Elliot is a great name, it's my top for a boy but thinking about it, I wouldn't cringe at it being on a girl (it actually works). Harper on the other hand, I'm not a fan of, but it is kind of sweet. Anyway, I'll stop rambling. Onto the names.I already think the combos of Harper Rose and Elliot Jane work really well, but I agree with Harper Rose being too popular.Harper Annabelle
Harper Clementine
Harper Eleanor
Harper Eliza
Harper Elizabeth
Harper Grace
Harper Hannah
Harper Harriet
Harper Hazel
Harper Isabelle (or other variations)
Harper June
Harper Lily
Harper Louise
Harper Penelope
Harper Rosalind
Harper Ruth
Harper Violet
Harper WillowElliot Amelia

I'm sorry, I can't even bear to humour Elliot on a girl long enough to let me brain think of girlie middle names for it. Maybe Ellis instead? I went to university with a female Ellis (funnily enough, her boyfriend was called Ellis too!)So lets look at Harper (my brain can handle that). Your friend seems to like short names, Rose, Jane and Brynn are all 1 syllable and Ivy is only 3 letters, let's continue that trend...

Both are surnamesAnd Elliot has the potential of nickname Ellie. I don't particularly like either (for boys or girls) but I wouldn't day one is more feminine than the other. A surname is a surname and people are used to them being unisex now.
